Clinical Trial Support Center
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's free CTSC can help physicians provide their patients with assistance finding and enrolling in clinical trials.
Did you know only 5-8% of adult cancer patients enroll in a clinical trial during their cancer treatment? These trials can provide treatment options for many patients with blood cancers but the process of finding clinical trials is complicated and can be overwhelming.
A collaboration between ASH and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Clinical Trial Support Center (CTSC) can help you provide this free, critical clinical trial resource to your patients. ASH member physicians and their care teams, along with patients and caregivers, receive one-on-one support from CTSC Nurse Navigators, who provide personal assistance throughout the entire clinical trial process. These Nurse Navigators are specially trained in blood cancers, clinical trials, and patient education/support. ASH member physicians, their care teams, and their patients and caregivers have direct access to their CTSC Nurse Navigator for the duration of the search and enrollment process, and while patients are on the trials.
Benefits for Clinicians and Patients
Easy access to highly-trained Nurse Navigators, who work with the patients to navigate the myriad trial sites, inclusion/exclusion criterion and other potential barriers to enrollment. The CTSC Nurse Navigator works in collaboration with the patient’s health care team to provide support, education and additional resources during the clinical trial process.
ASH member physicians seeking a clinical trial for their patient will initiate the connection with a CTSC Nurse Navigator by using the ASH portal to submit an electronic referral. When this form is received, a CTSC Nurse Navigator will contact the patient and complete a clinical trial search.
- Results of the search will be emailed to the patient and referring ASH member physician for discussion.
- The CTSC Nurse Navigator will continue to support the patient and help overcome obstacles to enrollment.
To Access the CTSC Nurse Navigators
Log onto the ASH portal using ASH single sign on.
- If this is the first time referring a patient, please review the instructions or watch the short orientation video.
- Complete and submit the CTSC referral form.
Please note that while The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society receives funding support from pharmaceutical companies for the Clinical Trial Support Center, the clinical trial search process and results provided are in no way influenced by this funding.
